President - Muggs Murphy
Muggs has coordinated the Gifted and Talented Program for
Mitchell Community Schools since 1989. Her students have created many award-winning
projects that have been presented at the AIME Media Fair and State and National
conferences. She also previously held a third-grade position in Mitchell and a sixth-grade
position in Colorado Springs. She worked as a curriculum writer for a year for an
online school. She does professional development for schools throughout Indiana
teaching teachers how to incorporate the use of technology in their classrooms.
She has participated at ICE as a presenter since 1996. This will be her sixth year
on the ICE Board.

Secretary - Janice (Jan) Rozich
After many years in real estate and law, Jan has spent the last nine years as a
middle school Language Arts and Computer Technology teacher at Lake Ridge Middle
School, Gary (Calumet Township), Indiana. In addition, she has recently expanded
her classroom connections to include online instruction for a community college
and a national university. An avid user and supporter of technology, Jan
has designed curriculum and other classroom instructional materials that incorporate
the best that technology has to offer. As one of the newest member of the
ICE Board, she looks forward to meeting and sharing the wonders of technology with
Indiana teachers across the state. Jan was the chairperson
of the ICE 2006 Teacher of the Year/Technology Education Advocate Committee.

Treasurer - David Parker
David is in his eleventh year as the Director of Technology for Tipton
Community Schools in central Indiana, where he has been an educator since 1973.
Previously, he taught astronomy and space science for 25 years in the planetariums
at Tipton Schools, Taylor Community Schools, and Ball State University. He served
on the Executive Committee of the Great Lakes Planetarium Association for 18 years
and received their Distinguished Service Award. David is a member of HECC and ISTE
and is an active alumnus of the Indiana Department of Education's Leadership Training
for Technology Coordinators. David previously served on the ICE Conference Committee
for seven years, producing the Conference Registration Guides and the Conference
Programs

Communications Chair -
Paul Brumley
Paul is in his 38th year in education, with
29 years experience as an Industrial Arts Teacher and Coach. He became Technology
Coordinator for the Randolph Eastern School Corporation in 1996. He is certified
in various technology areas and is an alumni of the Indiana Department of Education-sponsored
Leadership Training for Technology Coordinators and has served as a Regional Technology
Contact Coordinator for the IDOE. Paul is a past president of Hoosier Educational
Computer Coordinators (HECC) and previously served on the ICE Board as their representative
in 2002.

Lorie Homan - Conference
Chair
Lorie took over the job of conference chair immediately after the 2007 conference. She is a Technology Specialist at Noblesville High School. Lorie joined the ICE Conference Committee in 1991.

Member Services Chair - Melvin
Glick
In October 1998, Melvin was hired by Lakeland School Corporation
as their Technology Coordinator. While at Lakeland, he has overseen the building
of a very sound network which includes wireless and fiber links between six buildings,
an internal phone system (PBX), twenty some servers, approximately one-thousand
student PC's, and a computer on every teacher's desk.
In February 2003, his title was changed to Director of Technology, and his focus
now includes integrating all of LSC's technology into the learning process to improve
student achievement. As he works toward this challenge, he looks forward to the
experience and rewards of working more directly with the teachers and students.
Melvin is a 1988 graduate of Goshen College, with a B.A. in Communication. Melvin's
employment between graduation and Lakeland School Corporation included serving as
a Paramedic, Emergency Services Dispatcher, Probation Officer, and finally Victim's
Advocate for a Prosecutor's Office. He became the tech troubleshooter, trainer,
and guru in all of these positions.

Julie Bohnenkamp
Julie is currently the Director of Technology for the Center Grove Community Schools. She was formerly the Director of Instructional Technology
for the School of Education at IUPUI. Julie is the founder of the ELITE graduate
program (Educational Leaders in Technology Education) where she served
as the graduate program coordinator for the ELITE graduate program. This program
supports 200+ active graduate students across the state working on degrees in Educational
Technology. In addition, she managed the Office of Instructional Technology Staff
which includes a network specialist, desktop support specialist, and a webmaster.
Julie has been actively involved in the creation and/or beta testing of new online
learning environments for a number of years. Julie worked in collaboration with
Dr. Ali Jafari in 1997 to develop and implement a usability study for Oncourse,
the selected course management tool for Indiana University. In addition, she tested
ANGEL CMS in its early stages and worked with local school districts in the adoption
of this tool to support their curricular needs. In 2003, New Urban Teacher Collaborative,
or NUTC, she worked alongside Jafari to develop an online portal for the support
of new teachers in the project. Julie joined the ICE Board in July 2006.

Jenny Fossi
Jenny created the position of Technology Coordinator for South
Vermillion Schools in Clinton, Indiana, and has maintained that position since 1997.
Previously, Jenny taught 2 years as an elementary teacher after graduating from
Indiana State University with a BS in Elementary Education and a Computer Literacy
Endorsement. In 2001, she obtained a M.S. degree in Curriculum, Instruction, &
Technology by completing on online distance learning program from Nova Southeastern
University. Jenny also is an alumnus of the Indiana Department of Education-sponsored
Leadership Training for Technology Coordinators, and and participated in the Professional
Development Portfolio Project with the Department of Education. Her professional
interests include staff development and effective school to
home communication using technology. Jenny joined the ICE Board in September 2005.

Michael Hutchinson
Michael joined the ICE Board in 2005 and is a veteran social
studies teacher at Lincoln High School in Vincennes and was the technology curriculum
facilitator for the Vincennes Community Schools from 2003-2005. He has worked to
extensively integrate technology in his curriculum, and was the 2002 ICE Teacher
of the Year and 2002 ISTE Afflilliate Award winner. He also was the 1999 Midwest
Region winner in Technology and Learning Magazine's "Teacher of the Year" Contest.
He also has written curriculum for several PBS films, including "The Civil War",
"Baseball", and "Horatio's Drive", and has also written lesson plans and Power Point
presentations for Social Studies School Service and Multimedia Learning, Inc. He
is a faculty member for Connected University as well. Michael was the 2007 chair
of the Teacher of the Year and Technology Education Advocate Committee.

Scott Simmons
Scott joined the ICE Board In September 2005. He is currently
the Director of Curriculum and Technology for the Northwestern School Corporation
in Kokomo where he is beginning his fifth year. Scott taught in the Twin Lakes School
Corporation for twelve years where he was the computer technology educator at Roosevelt
Middle School from 1986-1998. He moved into technology administration in 1998
where he served as Technology Coordinator for the Jay School Corporation from 1998-2001.
Scott is a member of ISTE, ASCD, and HECC organizations. He is also active
in coaching in the youth programs at Northwestern in addition to serving as 9th
grade basketball coach. Scott is also a licensed IHSAA football official. Scott is the 2008 chair
of the Teacher of the Year and Technology Education Advocate Committee.

Shannon Hudson
New to the Board in 2007, Shannon is currently (and has been for 16 years) a middle school science teacher in the Crawfordsville School system. She has been integrating technology since it was brought into her school system in 1995, especially since 2000 when her school received a Tech-Know-Build grant which allowed all of her students to have a laptop 24/7. She was the 2006 ICE Teacher of the Year and is currently the co-chair for Teacher of the Year/Technology Advocate of the Year committee. She serves as Science Department Chairperson, National Junior Honor Society Chairperson and is on PRISM Board of Advisors. Shannon is the 2008 co-chair of the Teacher of the Year and Technology Education Advocate Committee.

Tim Tahara
In 1995, Tim became the Instructional Technology Director
for Concord Community Schools, on the south side of Elkhart. As is common across
the state, his job has expanded greatly in the last several years. He most enjoys
working with teachers and technology to enhance what takes place in their classrooms.
Before joining Concord's Technology Department, he spent 13 years teaching in a
fifth-grade classroom at Ox Bow Elementary. This is Tim's seventh year on the ICE
Board. He is currently serves as the Volunteer Coordinator for the ICE Conference.
He was the Hoosier Educational Computer Coordinators (HECC) president in 2000 and
their representative on the ICE Board. Tim also serves on the Board of Directors
for the Learning Society of Elkhart, and is an active alumnus of the Indiana Department
of Education's Leadership Training for Technology Coordinators (LTTC).

Susan
Neville - HECC Representative
New to the ICE Board in 2006, Susan is starting her sixth year asTechnology Coordinator at Southwestern Consolidated Schools of Shelby Co. She was previously employed in the tech department at Hamiton Southeastern Schools. She attended Miami of Ohio nd received her B.S. from IUPUI. Susan is currently the president of Hoosier Educational Computer Coordinators (HECC).

Laura Taylor
Laura is the Director of the Office of Learning Resources for the Indiana Department
of Education. Laura has worked for the Department since 1997 in both the Division
of School Finance and Educational Information and the Center for School Improvement.
Laura has worked in both education and technology for public and private sector
organizations. Prior to moving to Indiana she worked in Asia, as a business consultant
for Japanese multinationals. She holds degrees in Economics, Education Administration,
and is in the process of finishing her dissertation in Education Leadership. Laura
joined the ICE Board in 2003.
